Shirley Eaton is an English actress who achieved international fame in 1965 as the “dying girl” in the James Bond film Goldfinger. Eaton was born on January 5, 1937, in Birmingham, England. Her father was a steelworker and her mother was a homemaker. Eaton made her stage debut at the age of six and appeared in several West End productions throughout her childhood and teenage years. In 1958, she won a leading role in the British television series The Adventures of Robin Hood, opposite Richard Greene.
