Matthew Perry is a name that might not ring any bells for most people. That is because he is better known by his stage name, Matthew Scott Perry. This actor, writer, and producer was born on August 19, 1969 in Williamstown, Massachusetts. He is the son of Suzanne Marie (Langford), a Canadian journalist, and John Bennett Perry, an American actor and model.

Perry has been in some great movies, but he is best known for his role as Chandler Bing on the NBC sitcom Friends, which aired from 1994 to 2004. He has also starred in the ABC comedy-drama Mr. Sunshine (2011-2012), the CBS sitcom The Odd Couple (2015-2017), and the NBC comedy Go On (2012-2013).
Perry has been nominated for seven Golden Globe Awards, five Screen Actors Guild Awards, and six Emmy Awards. He has also won a People’s Choice Award and a Teen Choice Award. In 2002, he was ranked #21 on TV Guide’s 50 Greatest TV Stars of All Time.
